ABOUT ME

Martin Iman was born in 1969 and lives in Bratislava, Slovak republic.

MARTIN IMAN

Martin Iman was born in 1969 and currently lives in Bratislava, Slovakia. His recent exhibitions of fine art photography took place in Paris, Lisbon and Prague.  In 2017/18 he is planning to present his artwork in Vienna and Rome. You could have also seen his pieces of work at the international fair EXPO in Milan 2015.

For a long period of time, Martin has focused on emotion, figure composition and model dynamics in light. His predominant technique is pictorialism. For Martin, the result - final picture - has always  been more important than the process of creation. He works with digital devices, as well as classic photographic film. Martin prefers working for an individual client,..“it’s personal“, he says, „...more intense and at the same time more demanding“. Large part of his portfolio was created in Prague or Brno (Czech Republic).

His vision is full of abstraction and expression, it is based on strong sensitivity and the same emotion one looks for in the photograph itself. He emphasises an immediate expressivity of interpretation. He makes use of rythm, harmony, dynamics and gests within his art. He uses acryl, charcoal, ink or oil painting on the canvas or on a paper carton surface.
